CONSTRUCTION PROJECT OF A COUNTRY HOUSE LOCATED IN BAFOU (MENOUA, WESTERN REGION) AT LIEU-DIT SAINT LAURENT

The project object of the operation consists of the construction of a country house located in Bafou (Menoua, Western Region) in Cameroon. It is a duplex type house with a total area of approximately 500m².  The architectural program includes a small medical practice, reflecting the client's desire to contribute to the good health and development of local populations.

Following the example of our various works on residential projects, we have structured the space around 02 zones: a "public zone / day zone" and a "private zone / night zone" to which we have incorporated a "professional zone". due to the presence of the care space in the building. The principle is to be able to go to each of these spaces without passing through another. In addition to making flows more fluid, this strategy above all makes it possible to give each space privacy and autonomy.

Thus starting from the hall located on the ground floor, one can go, independently, to the living room and adjoining kitchen (public area / day area), to the doctor's office (professional area) and to the bedrooms located upstairs through the staircase (private area / sleeping area). The hall, which is also found upstairs, thus constitutes a buffer space between the different zones.

The fitting out of an American kitchen has made it possible to integrate a minibar which opens onto the living room. The materials were chosen for their ease of use and easy maintenance. Regarding the exterior cladding, we have chosen ocher shades in order to adapt to the environment of the village.
